RENU BAKSHI - PUBLICIST

Born in Vancouver in 1970 and raised on a blueberry farm, I traded rural life for the city 20 years ago.

I became a journalist at age 18 and worked my way into a job at CTV News (Vancouver) where I became an awarded top-story journalist and anchor.

In 2010 – at the pinnacle of my journalism career – I left the industry. People thought I was nuts to leave an anchor job.

I had a good reason. My mom was dying.

After she passed – and certainly not missing a newsroom environment – I became a communication consultant in Vancouver. Before long, my reach became global.

Led by my journalistic ethics, I focus on long-term leadership and messages that matter – not spin – and that’s why notable organizations trust my direction for their public relations’ needs: media training, crisis management, press releases and press conferences.

If you want spin, I’m the wrong person. If you want leadership, call me. I will work with you hands-on every step of the way.

I’m based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and work with clients in major cities around the world.

PS. I still wake before the birds & love blueberries.
